What’s Hachikokuyama?
Mt.Shichikoku has been modeled after Mt.Hachikokuas seen in the movie, " My NeighbourTotoro". Mt.Shichikokuis also the location of the hospital where Satsuki and May's mother stays.
The purpose of "HachikokuyamaIsland" in Second Life is to support NPOs, such as environmental groups and advocacy groups for humanitarian support. These NPOs sell avatars and clothes at Second Life for the purpose of charity.
"HachikokuyamaIsland" in Second Life is run by Interlink. Co., the Internet provider, as part of its philanthropy.

How to make donations
Various stores in "Hachikokuyama Iland" install donation boxes and sell the goods of the charity purpose. You can contribute it to the store by purchasing a donation and goods for the Linden dollar(*) from there. INTERLINK realizes it with absolutely and hands it to each group and does the contributed Linden dollar.
